Located
on the famous Pichola Lake, has been designed as a traditional Rajasthani Palace.
The resort is set in thirty acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, decorative
fountains and pavilions, giving it a genuine Rajasthani ambiance. Many of the
guest rooms have uninterrupted views of the Pichola Lake and City Palace. Udaivilas
offers the same standards of luxury, service and comfort, guests have come to
expect at Rajvilas, Jaipur and Amarvilas, Agra. The hotel is an ideal base from
which to explore the fabled city of Udaipur, renowned for its palaces, lakes
and colourful bazaars.
Accommodation
The Oberoi Udaivilas has 87 rooms. 63 Deluxe, 19 Superior Deluxe, 4 Deluxe Suites
and 1 Kohinoor Suite. All rooms are in excess of 550 sq ft.
Deluxe rooms : Spacious and elegantly appointed, the Deluxe Rooms are
550 square feet in area. Each is decorated in fine Indian arts and crafts The
large marble bathrooms have freestanding Victorian bathtubs, separate shower
stalls, and private walled courtyards.

Superior deluxe rooms : Superior Deluxe Rooms have a semi private swimming
pool running along a private terrace, which overlooks the lake and palaces.
Some also overlook the conservatory. The luxurious marble bathrooms have Victorian
style freestanding bathtubs and private walled courtyards.

Deluxe suites : Each Deluxe Suite has a 10-meter private swimming pool
with magnificent views of the Lake and Palaces. There is an outdoor dining and
relaxation pavilion. The large luxurious bathrooms have Victorian style freestanding
bathtubs and separate shower stalls.

Kohinoor suite : The elegant Kohinoor Suite is beautifully appointed
in fine arts and textiles. It has two separate bedrooms and a living room with
two working fireplaces. It also features a private swimming pool and patio with
a dining and relaxation pavilion.

UdaiMahal, the specialty Indian restaurant, offers traditional Rajasthani and
North Indian cuisine and its special menu have been developed following meticulous
research in the traditional royal kitchens of Rajasthan. Udai Mahal is open
only for dinner. The domes over UdaiMahal represent the night sky and the Udaipur
cityscape. The vibrancy and richness of Indian and Rajasthani culture are reflected
in the blue, green and gold colour scheme. Surya Mahal, the main dining room,
offers Continental and Asian cuisine's. It is open for breakfast lunch and dinner.
The courtyard adjoining the restaurant is the perfect setting for al fresco
dining. Gas torches cast a sense of drama over live performances of music and
dance in the evenings.
The bar, warm and inviting with hand knotted carpets and comfortable seating,
offers a breathtaking view of the Lake Pichola and the City Palace. It offers

City
Palace
City Palace a largest complex palace in Rajasthan. The palace has many courtyards,
pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. The main entrance
is through the triple arched gate, the 'Tripolia' with eight marble porticos.
The maharajas were weighed under the gate in gold, the equivalent amount of
which was distributed among the populace. The main part of the palace is now
been converted in to an museum , in which very beautiful mosaics of peacocks
at the Mor chowk, the Glass and Mirror work in the Manak and Moti Mahal and
a beautiful collection of miniatures in Krishna Vilas.
Jagdish Temple
Built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh. The temple is located at about 150 metres
north of the entrance to the city palace. The temple is designed in Indo-Aryan
style and is the largest and most beautiful temple of Udaipur. A brass image
of Garuda lies in front of the temple.
Pichola Lake
The Pichola lake is surrounded by hills, gardens, havelis, ghats and temples.
The lake was enlarged by Maharana Udai Singh, who found this city. The two islands
on the lake Jag mandir and Jag Niwas present a magnificent sight. Boat rides
is the major attraction of this place. Fateh Sagar Fateh Sagar built by Maharana
Fateh Sagar. In the middle of this beautiful lake is a Nehru Park, a lovely
garden island with a boat shaped cafe accessible by an enjoyable boat rides.
Pratap Memorial
On the top of Moti Magri there is an overlook to Fateh Sagar Lake is the bronze
statue of Maharana Pratap on his horse chetak. This Pratap memorial also known
as 'Pratap smarak'. the statue is kept under a garden.
Saheliyoin-Ki-Bari
To the north of the city lies a beautiful garden known as 'Saheliyoin-Ki-Bari'.
This small ornament garden with its fountain, Kiosks, marble elephants and delightful
pools. The hilltop Sajjangarh Palace was fort in the west of Udaipur is a vantage
point from a magnificent point of the city. Jag Mandir Lake retreat built by
Maharana as as refugee for Prince Shanjahan. The Palace made in red stone of
translucent thinness, was once laid with rubies and jasper. The island has an
impressive chattri carved from gray blue stone and is flanked by a row of enormous
stone elephants. It was built by Jagat Singh I in the midst of the city, on
the street that leads to the palace. Its walls are covered with bas-relief,
friezes of makar (crocodiles), elephants, carved dancers statue of Garuda. Lake
Palace Lake Palace Founded in 1568 by Maharana Udai Singh, the Lake city of
Udaipur is often referred as the 'Venice of the East'. Studded with extravagant
palaces, hilltop fortresses, awe-inspiring temples and romantic gardens filled
with blossoming trees, this 'City of Dreams' is, not surprisingly, a favourite
